Nick Van Kukaj

Nick van Kukaj is an Albanian-born, UK-based DJ and electronic music producer with more than two decades of experience behind the decks and in the studio. His journey through electronic music has taken him across Trance, Hard Trance, Tech Trance, Progressive, Psy and Techno, developing a sound that combines driving energy, emotional melodies and a strong hands-on production approach.

A dedicated hardware enthusiast, Nick has built his production style around synthesizers, drum machines and analogue equipment, bringing a raw and distinctive character to his music. His productions have found their way onto respected labels including Positive State, Tidy Two, High Contrast Extreme and Resonation, with support from artists across the Trance and harder dance music scene.

Nick has collaborated with some of the names who have influenced his musical journey, including Lab4, S.H.O.K.K, Yusef Kifah and Gav Crayton. His collaboration with Lab4 produced Peak and Force 10 Fire, while his work with S.H.O.K.K resulted in Raki Parti. His collaboration with Yusef Kifah, Legacy, was released on Tidy Two, further cementing Nick’s connection with the harder side of the Trance scene.

In 2024, Nick released his studio album One Life To Live For, a deeply personal 22-track project that brings together his experiences, influences and love for electronic music. The album explores a broad spectrum of Trance and electronic sounds, from emotional and melodic productions to tougher, peak-time material.

Alongside his production career, Nick has been behind the Atomic Trance podcast since 2010 and founded Atomic Trance Beats, a label dedicated to Trance and the harder spectrum of electronic music.

For Nick van Kukaj, music has always been more than simply making records. It is a lifelong journey, a creative outlet and a way of connecting experiences, emotions and people through sound.
